After the bilingual thriller Game Over, Taapsee Pannu is gearing up for her next project. As per the latest reports, Taapsee Pannu to play Mithali Raj in next project.
Viacom 18 announced the making of the film on the life of women cricket star Mithali Raj in 2017. Since then there is a lot of buzz and interest in the project. Taapsee Pannu verbally nodded for the film to the filmmakers. She is yet to sign the project.
This is not the first time that Taapsee will star in sports flick. In 2018 Taapsee played the role of a hockey player in Soorma based on the life of hockey player Sandeep Singh.

The story of the Mithali Raj biopic is locked but the script is still being progressed.
Mithali Raj is the captain of the One-day Indian women cricket team. She is one of the greatest batswomen in the world. She is the highest run scorer in International women cricket and first Indian to score more than 6,000 runs in women’s cricket.
In 2018 Women’s T20s Asia cup, Mithali became the highest run scorer for India in T20s (both male and female).
The shooting of the movie will start next year and Taapsee will undergo stringent training to play the role.
A source close to the development said that all the formalities will be done after the finalization of the director.

Meanwhile, Taapsee has recently completed the shooting of Tushar Hiranandani directorial Saandh Ki Aankh along with Bhumi Pednekar. They are playing the role of India’s oldest sharpshooters Chandro Tomar and her sister in Law Prakashi Tomar.
