Renowned actor Rituraj Singh passed away today, February 20, leaving behind grieving hearts in the entertainment industry and among his fans. As reported by ETimes, the 59-year-old actor had been battling a pancreatic illness and was admitted to the hospital after suffering a cardiac arrest. Sadly, he lost his battle with his condition earlier today. 

Confirming the heartbreaking news, Rituraj’s close friend Amit Bhel stated to the entertainment portal, “Yes, he passed away due to cardiac arrest. He was admitted to the hospital some time back for pancreas treatment, returned home, but experienced cardiac complications and passed away.”

Actor Amit Behl informed Indian Express that Rituraj Singh breathed his last at 12:30 am. He elaborated, “He had been unwell. 

He was hospitalized 15 days ago due to pancreatic issues. He returned home a few days back, but yesterday he was feeling extremely weak, and they rushed him to the hospital. Unfortunately, he suffered the attack before reaching the hospital.” Rituraj Singh had an illustrious career spanning various television shows, including Banegi Apni Baat, Jyoti, Hitler Didi, Shapath, Warrior High, Aahat, and Adaalat, among others. 

He received widespread acclaim for his role in the popular show Anupamaa. Additionally, he was seen alongside Varun Dhawan and Alia Bhatt in Badrinath Ki Dulhania. Details regarding his final rites are yet to be disclosed.
