Parineeti Chopra and Sidharth Malhotra’s Jabariya Jodi Trailer is out on 01-07-2019. Jabariya Jodi is a production of Balaji Motion Pictures and directed by Prashant Singh.
Jabariya Jodi is a romantic comedy movie based on the concept of ‘Pakadwah Shaadi’ which is prevalent in parts of Bihar and Uttar Pradesh. In Pakadwah Shaadi grooms are kidnapped for marriage by Bride’s side.

Sidharth Malhotra is playing the role of Rowdy Abhay Singh. He runs a groom kidnapping business and helps the bride side by kidnapping the groom for marriage.
The clips of the trailer open with Sidharth saying that in Bihar people get three types of marriage- love marriage, arrange marriage and or marriage by giving dowry to the groom’s family.
He wants to be an MLA someday until she meets Parineeti Chopra. His dreams of becoming MLA get foiled after meeting Parineeti’s character. He gets close to her and his hopes dashed.
Writer Sanjeev K Jha wrote the screenplay of the movie and slated to hit the screens on 2nd August 2019.
Jabariya Jodi is the 2nd collaboration of Sidharth Malhotra and Parineeti Chopra. Before this, they appeared together in 2014 romantic hit Hansee Toh Phasee.
Jabariya Jodi also stars Aparshakti Khurrana, Sanjay Mishra and Javed Jaffrey in the pivotal roles.
Meanwhile, Parineeti Chopra is also working for the biopic of Badminton star Saina Nehwal. On the other hand, Sidharth Malhotra is busy in the shooting of the upcoming film ‘Marjaavaan’ along with Tara Sutaria directed by Milap Zaveri.
