Bollywood Khiladi Akshay Kumar is celebrating his 52nd birthday today. On his birthday, Akshay Kumar makes a big announcement about his upcoming project.

By surprising everyone Akshay Kumar announces that he will play the role of 12th century Indian Monarch  Prithviraj Chouhan in the historical movie named “Prithviraj

Akshay shared the news on his official Social Media handle by saying that this will be one of the big films in the history of Bollywood.

The film will be made under the production of Yash Raj Films. It is directed by Dr.Chandra Prakash Dwivedi who is known for the direction of famous historical Tv serial Chanakya and 2003 film Pinjar

Prithvi Raj Chouhan was one of the brave monarch in Indian history who ruled present-day Rajasthan, Haryana, Delhi and some parts of Madhya Pradesh and Uttar Pradesh. He was a true Indian hero who was the only person standing in front of a merciless nemesis. His bravery and love toward the country is an inspiration for all of us.

By treating the announcement as special as this comes on his birthday he also shares the teaser. The 42 seconds clip features the Mission Mangal actor as the King and warrior Prithvi Raj Chouhan on the horseback.

According to the reports, The movie will be based on the battle of Tarain led by the Rajpoot King Prithviraj Chouhan. As per the reports, the shooting of the movie will start in November this year. The Historical movie will shot in parts of Rajasthan and film city Mumbai. It is also saying that Sanjay Dutt was first considered for the role of Prithviraj but due to date problem, this couldn’t happen. Reportedly he will play Mohammad Ghori.

Prithviraj will release on Diwali 2020.

On the work front, this year Akshay Kumar gives two super hit movies Kesari and space drama Mission Mangal.

He has a long line of upcoming projects. Housefull 4 along with Bobby Deol, Pooja Hegde, Riteish Deshmukh, Kriti Sanon, and Kriti Kharbanda. Good News along with Kareena Kapoor Khan, Diljit Dosanjh and Kiara Advani. Rohit Shetty’s cop film Sooryavanshi and Raghava Lawrence’s horror-comedy Laxmi Bomb.
