Dharma Productions announces the sequel of 2008 hit movie Dostana some times back with stars Janhvi Kapoor and Kartik Aaryan. Although third cast name was kept under wrap and there were several speculations.

Now, Dharma Production and Karan Johar unveiled all the secrets and announce the name of the third cast who will join Kartik and Janhvi in the movie. The cast is not a renowned Bollywood star but a newcomer Lakshay.

Karan Johar shared the news on his social media account and is very happy and excited for Lakshay to join the team. Karan announces that the new face Lakshay is a suitable boy for Dostana 2. He reveals that Lakshay is locked for the film after several photoshoots and rounds of interviews.

Lakshay has signed 4 contracts with Dharma productions which includes movies and digital projects.

Handsome hunk Lakshay also shared his excitement to join hands with Dharma production. He wrote.

Lakshay is a model and Tv actor. He starred in many tv shows which includes  Pyar Tune Kya Kiya, Pardesh Mai Hai Mera Dil, Adhuri Kahani Hamari and Porus. He also played a small role in Shraddha Kapoor’s starrer Haseena Parkar. Lakshay came in limelight with his role in MTV warriors.

A source close to the development reveals that Kartik Aaryan and Janhvi Kapoor will not be paired opposite in sequel Dostana 2, in fact, they are playing a brother-sister role in the movie. They both will have the same love interest which is the new face Lakshay.

Dostana was a 2008 romantic comedy movie which stars Priyanka Chopra, John Abraham, and Abhishek Bachchan. The movie is still everyone’s favorite and fans are waiting for the sequel from many time back.

Dostana 2 will be directed by Collin D’ Cunha and is produced jointly by Karan Johar, Hiroo Johar, and Apoorva Mehta.
