After staying away from Bollywood for three years, global icon Priyanka Chopra is all set to come back from “ The Sky is Pink”. Directed by Shonali Bose, the movie also stars Farhan Akthar, Zaira Wasim and Rohit Saraf in the main leads.

One of the most anticipated trailers of “The Sky is Pink” is out on Tuesday”. The movie not only marks the comeback of Priyanka Chopra in Bollywood but this is also her first movie as a producer. Priyanka is co-producing the film with Ronnie Screwvala and Siddharth Roy Kapur. She was last seen in Prakash Jha directorial Jai Gangajal in 2016.

The three minutes nine seconds clip starts with the voice of Zaira Wasim who is talking about filmy and epic love stories. She said that her favorite love story is of her Panda and Muse indicating toward her Dad and Mom. After that, the trailer showcases some love scenes between Priyanka and Farhan and how they struggle to save their daughter who is diagnosed with pulmonary fibrosis. The trailer shows the crazy and drippy love story of Priyanka Chopra and Farhan Akthar and their family.

Priyanka shared the first trailer of her comeback movie on her official social media handle. Actor Farhan Akthar also shared the news on his social media account.

Before releasing the trailer, the filmmakers released some posters of this biographical drama.

The movie revolves around the life of Aisha who is diagnosed with Pulmonary fibrosis played by Zaira Wasim. Priyanka Chopra is playing the role of Zaira’s mother Aditi and Farhan Akthar as father Niren.

The story of “The sky is Pink” is inspired by the biography “My Little Epiphanies”  by motivational speaker Aisha Choudhary. She died in 2015 at the age of 18 after diagnosed with Pulmonary fibrosis.

Director Shonali Bose found a close connection with the biography as she lost her son Ishan in 2010 in an accident.

The movie is all set to hit the screens on 11 October 2019.
