Sara Ali Khan and Varun Dhawan are all set to team up for the remake of Coolie no 1. The shooting of the David Dhawan directorial movie will start in August in Bangkok. As per the latest news, Paresh Rawal joins Sara Ali Khan and Varun Dhawan in Coolie no. 1 remake.

Coolie no. 1 is a 1995 classic movie which stars Govinda and Karishma Kapoor in the lead role. Kader Khan played the role of Karishma Kapoor’s father role in the original. This time Paresh Rawal will play the character of Kader Khan. He will play the role of Sara’s father in the movie.

A source said to an entertainment portal that Paresh Rawal will play the role of Sara’s father Hoshiyar Chand in the movie and most of the comedy revolves around his part.

However, there will be some twist in the role in the remake as per modern sensibilities.

There is a 20-day shooting schedule in Bangkok, after that, the team will be heading to Goa for the next schedule. The movie also marked the collaboration of director David Dhawan with Vashu Bhagnani after 25 years.

Varun Dhawan shared the release date of Coolie no. 1 remake on her social media account on 1st May  2019. He wrote “ Aaj ke din agle saal ayega coolie no. 1”

The movie will release on 1 May 2020. This will be the third film of Varun Dhawan will father David Dhawan after Main Tera Hero and Judwaa 2

Sara and Varun will be seen together for the first time in comedy flick Coolie no. 1 remake.

Meanwhile, Sara Ali Khan is busy in the shooting of her upcoming movie Love Aaj Kal 2 along with Kartik Aryan. On the other hand, Varun is working in the Remo D’Souza’s dance drama Street Dancer opposite Shraddha Kapoor.
