Director Farah Khan and Rohit Shetty are teaming up for their new project. Farah Khan has announced about her collaboration with Rohit Shetty for the remake of 1982 comedy movie Satte pe Satta in Feb. Since then there were speculations that the team will sign Shahrukh Khan or Akshay Kumar for the lead role. But now It is revealed that Hrithik Roshan will play the role of Amitabh Bachchan in Satte pe Satta Remake.
1982 movie Satte pe Satta stars Amitabh Bachchan and Hema Malini in the lead roles. The film is a quirky comedy revolves around the story of seven brothers. Farah Khan plans to adapt the movie in a modern way and reworked on the whole script.

Hrithik Roshan and Farah Khan are close friends from decades and Farah has already discussed the idea of making Satte Pe Satta with him. According to the source close to development when Hrithik heard the story of the film he agreed to do work in the film. The final procedure of the film will be done soon and Hrithik Roshan will make official announcements too after that.
Satte pe Satta remake is the first film of Rohit Shetty with Hrithik Roshan.
Rohit Shetty is producing the remake of action comedy movie Satte pe Satta. It will be his first collaboration with Hrithik Roshan. Rohit Shetty always wanted to do some project with Hrithik Roshan but it never happened in the past.

There were also rumors that filmmakers will sign Akshay Kumar and Shahrukh Khan for the role of Amitabh Bachchan. But Hrithik Roshan is locked for the lead role. As per the reports filmmakers didn’t want someone who is too young or too old for the film. They wanted someone who looks eldest of all seven brothers and is in the ’40s. Hrithik Roshan is perfectly fit for this role. Amitabh Bachchan was also 40 during the release of Satte Pe Satta.
Farah Khan has recently shared a picture of a beautiful cottage in Goa. She wrote that she is excited about this journey.
It seems that Farah Khan is already working on the film in Goa and is ready to entertain the fans.
