Bollywood Khiladi Akshay Kumar has a lot of films in his kitty. He just completed the shooting of the upcoming movie “Good News” and currently busy in Rohit Shetty’s film Sooryavanshi. Now as per the latest reports Akshay Kumar’s Rowdy Rathore sequel kick-start next year.
The Prabhu Deva directorial Rowdy Rathore was a superhit cop drama which stars Akshay Kumar and Sonakshi Sinha in the main leads. According to the source close to the development, the shooting of the Rowdy Rathore sequel will start next year. This time also Akshay Kumar will be seen in the lead role. However, Akshay Kumar has not done any announcement regarding the confirmation of the news.

Producer Shabinaa Khan confirmed the news by saying that producers are all set to make the sequel of 2012 hit Rowdy Rathore. Akshay Kumar is finalized for the main lead role and the female lead is not yet confirmed.
The 2012 hit Rowdy Rathore was an official adaption of 2006 Telugu film Vikramarkudu. Akshay Kumar played the double role in the movie opposite Sonakshi Sinha.
It will be interesting to see if filmmakers will go with original female lead Sonakshi Sinha or we will see some new actress on the screen.
Meanwhile, Akshay Kumar has no. of projects lined up. His upcoming film Good News will releases on 27th December which also stars Kareena Kapoor Khan, Daljit Dosanj and Kiara Advani in the main roles.
Other films in his kitty are Sooryavanshi, Housefull 4, and Laxmi Bomb. There are also rumors that he will do the sequel of 2007 psychological thriller film Bhool Bhulaiya too.
