Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah, a beloved Hindi Show, has been a staple on television for over a decade, amassing a substantial fan base. Despite its popularity, the show is currently facing a backlash from fans who are advocating for a boycott on social media. The cause of this discontent stems from the makers’ failure to fulfill a promise to reintroduce Disha Vakani, known as Dayaben, to the cast.

Disha Vakani, who joined the show in 2008, decided to depart in 2023. Alongside her, Monika Bhadoriya also bid farewell to Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah in June of the same year, sparking speculation about payment issues as the reason behind their exits.

In an interview with Hindustan Times, Bhadoriya revealed that Asit Modi, the show’s creator, had called her to return to the set just days after her mother’s passing. Despite her emotional state, she claimed to have been pressured to resume work, citing financial incentives and insensitivity on the set as contributing factors.

Fast forward to December, and despite assurances from the makers, Dayaben has not made a return to the show. This has fueled the fans’ frustration, leading to calls for a boycott on social media.
