Farah Khan has announced earlier in Feb that she is planning to make the remake of 1982 action comedy movie Satte Pe Satta. For this remake, she is all set to collaborate with Rohit Shetty who will produce the remake. As per the reports Hrithik Roshan and Deepika Padukone to star in ‘Satte Pe Satta’ remake.
Hrithik Roshan is already locked for the lead role in the movie. He will play the role of Amitabh Bachchan. Now as per the latest reports, for the female lead, filmmakers bagged Deepika Padukone. According to the source close to the development, Farah Khan wanted Deepika Padukone to do the role of Hema Malini in the remake. Deepika said instant yes when Farah narrated the story to her.

If reports are to be believed, both Farah and Rohit wanted Deepika for the main lead because of her resemblance with Hema Malini. Farah Khan adapted the movie in a modern way and recreated the whole script.
Satte Pe Satta will be Deepika’s third collaboration with Farah Khan and second with Rohit Shetty. Deepika Padukone and Hrithik Roshan are coming together for the first time on the silver screen.
Satte Pe Satta is the 1982 super hit action comedy movie which features Amitabh Bachchan and Hema Malini in the main roles. The movie revolves around the story of seven brothers.
Also, Rohit Shetty collaborates with Hrithik Roshan for the first time.
Meanwhile, Hrithik Roshan is gearing up for the release of his next movie Super 30 which is based on the biopic of mathematician Anand Kumar. The movie will release on 12 July 2019.
On the other hand, Deepika Padukone will be next seen in Megna Gulzar’s Chhapaak and Kabir Khan’s 83 along with Ranveer Singh.
