Dunki Box Office Collection Day 7: Shah Rukh Khan’s film, Dunki, witnessed a robust start but grappled with maintaining its momentum throughout the initial week, experiencing fluctuations in its collection figures. Despite facing tough competition, the movie has excelled on the global stage and has secured a position in Bollywood’s top-grossing films of 2023.

Analyzing Dunki’s Box Office performance in its first seven days reveals a varied trajectory in net collections across India. The film commenced its journey with a formidable opening on Thursday, amassing ₹29.2 crore. However, it stood as the least successful among Khan’s three releases this year, including Pathaan and Jawan. The subsequent day witnessed a substantial decline of 31.10%, with collections amounting to ₹20.12 crore.

Favorable word-of-mouth publicity contributed to improved fortunes over the weekend, with a notable 27.29% surge on Saturday, generating ₹25.61 crore. Sunday exhibited even stronger numbers, experiencing a 19.88% increase and accumulating ₹30.7 crore. This positive trend reversed on Monday, witnessing a 20.78% drop in collections to ₹24.32 crore. Tuesday marked a dramatic dip, with a staggering 52.47% decrease, resulting in a net collection of ₹11.56 crore. Wednesday recorded a minor decrease of 8.82% from the previous day, bringing in ₹10.54 crore, according to preliminary data.

In one week, despite facing tough competition from Prabhas’ Salaar, Dunki garnered ₹152.05 crore. The film, reportedly made with a budget of ₹120 crore, achieved a worldwide gross Box Office collection of ₹283.13 crore after six days, as disclosed by Red Chillies Entertainment on X (formerly Twitter). Featuring Taapsee Pannu, Vicky Kaushal, Vikram Kochhar, Arun Grover, and Boman Irani in pivotal roles, Dunki has sustained robust overseas numbers, crossing the ₹100-crore mark in international earnings within five days.

As anticipated, Dunki has nearly reached the ₹300 crore mark after six days, securing its position in the top-grossing films of Bollywood in 2023. It has surpassed OMG 2 (₹221.75 crore) and Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar (₹223 crores), claiming the 8th spot among the year’s highest-grossing movies.
