Deepika Padukone will play Ranveer Singh’s wife in “83”

Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh are coming together in Kabir Khan’s 83. Film 83 is based on cricket world cup victory in the year 1983. Ranveer Singh is playing the role of former Indian cricket captain Kapil Dev. Currently, he is doing the training with Kapil Dev in Delhi. While Deepika Padukone will play Ranveer Singh’s wife in “83”

Now as per the latest reports, Ranveer Singh’s wife and Bollywood Diva Deepika Padukone is also joining the film. She will play the role of Kapil dev’s wife Romi Bhatia in the film. Along with playing a character in the film, she will also co-produce the film. Deepika is a very good friend of Kabir. When she read the script, she feels like this is not only a film but an inspirational journey.

Earlier it was in the news that Deepika has a cameo role in the film, but according to the latest reports, Deepika Padukone will play Ranveer Singh’s wife in “83”. She will play the role of Romi Bhatia in the movie. There is a dramatic scene of Deepika in the movie. Romi Bhatia leaves the stadium during the final match of Worldcup against West Indies when India started losing wickets one by one. But when she heard that India is doing well and about to win the match she comes again in the stadium. The film also shows the love story of Kapil Dev and wife Romi Bhatia. Deepika and Ranveer will see on-screen romancing with each other. It is interesting to see Real life couple to play the role of reel life husband wife.

“83” is the 4^th film of Ranveer and Deepika together

It will be the fourth time they will share the screen together. Before this, they are seen together in Goliyon Ki Raasleela: Ramleela,  Bajirao Mastanai, and Padmaavat.

Apart from 83, Deepika is also co-producing movie “ Chhapaak” which is based on the life of acid attack survivor “Laxmi Agarwal”.

Film 83 also stars, Hardy Sandhu, Saqib Saleem, Ammy Virk, Tahir Bhasin, Chirag Patil and Pankaj Tripathi in pivotal roles among others.

Kabir Khan’s “ 83” will releases on 10-April 2020.
