Bhool Bhulaiyaa to have a sequel soon. After the gap of 12 years, Akshay Kumar starer “Bhool Bhulaiya” is all set for its sequel. 2007 release, Bhool Bhulaiya was a horror comedy movie. The film was super hit in that genre. The film stars Akshay Kumar and Vidya Balan in the main roles. Viewers like the cameo role of Akshay Kumar in the movie.

While the original film was directed by Priyadarshan. Farhad Samji will direct the sequel. According to the latest reports, the
filmmakers registered the title as “Bhool Bhulaiya 2”.

Film and music producer, Bhushan Kumar got the idea of making the sequel of Bhool Bhulaiya. He shares his idea with Farhad Samji. Farhad will write and direct the sequel. The film is in the initial stage.

As per reports, the makers of the film will go with original main leads, Akshay Kumar and Vidya Balan. However, makers are planning to cast new faces for other characters in the sequel. After completing the final script, the casting and other pre-production formalities will be done by the filmmakers.

The original “Bhool Bhulaiya” was a remake of Tamil superhit film Chandramukhi. Chandramukhi itself was the remake of 1993 Malayalam film “Manichitrathazhu

The film revolves around a US couple of Siddharth Chaturvedi (Shiney Ahuja) and Avni (Vidya Balan). For celebrating the holidays they come to India. They go to their ancestral mansion which was believed to be haunted by their relatives. They forced them not to go there, but still, they went there. After reaching there the couple noticed some strange things happening. Then Siddhart called his psychiatrist friend Aditya (Akshay) for help. The film also stars Amisha Patel, Paresh Rawal, and Rajpal Yadav.
