Sonakshi Sinha starrer Khandani Shafakhana releases on 02-08-2019. The movie is based on the subject of sex and sex education in India.
The movie directed by Shilpa Dasgupta also stars Varun Sharma, Badshah and Annu Kapoor in pivotal roles.
Khandani Safakhana story:
Khandani Shafakhana is a story of small-town medical representative girl Baby Bedi played by Sonakshi Sinha who hails from an orthodox Punjabi family.
The movie starts with a Five or six-year-old girl who tells her uncle “Uncle six Nahi, theek se likho SEX” in her innocent voice. Later her mother scolds her and takes her away from her Mamaji, an hakim of sex-related diseases.

After years, The girl has grown and ends up in the shoes of her late Mamaji. She runs the sex clinic of her uncle and is the only source of income for her family. Baby realized that people still have a squirmy reaction to the word sex. She decided to change the world and start a conversation about this hush-hush subject.
Sonakshi Sinha’s character is focused on getting her family out of the financial crisis with the help of the sex clinic, without caring much about the mudslinging it comes with.
Khandani Safakhana Movie Review:
The movie is excruciatingly slow and script by Gautam Mehra is lazily written. There are only a few good lines in the movie and the rest of the dialogues are mediocre. The movie takes so much time to start the conversations on the subject the movie is based on. There is nothing much in the first half of the movie and you have to be brave to get into the interesting second half. The performance of lead actor Sonakshi Sinha is mindblowing and she carries the weight of the film on her shoulders along with stars Varun Sharma.
Varun manages to make some laugh to audiences by delivering some good joke. The acting skills of Varun are not much utilized in this movie as compared to Fukrey and Dilwale. He has only a limited time on screen.
Badshah is playing the role of a popular rapper, Gabru Ghaatak who is not much different from his real avatar. Kulbhushan Kharbanda is playing Sonakshi’s Mama who appears mostly in the flashback scenes only.
Actor Annu Kapoor is playing the role of a lawyer who is in charge of handling the sex clinic of Mamaji to Sonakshi. Her role is more like Dr. Chaddha in Vicky Donor.
Khandani Safakhana makes an attempt to put the woman as the lead pillar of the story with a strong subject line. The film tries to present it in an engaging manner but could make the feel.
Khandani Shafakhana is a one-time watch movie and is a treat for only Sonakshi Sinha fans.
